In this article we will see how to update Name on Aadhaar Card. Aadhaar Card is needed today for every necessary work. If you have to open an account in the bank, you have to file an income tax return or take advantage of any kind of government plan, then you need Aadhaar card.
Every kind of detail recorded in your base card should be absolutely updated. If your details are not updated then you may be deprived of several types of plans, including PM farmer, PM housing scheme.

Uidai has tweeted, “Now you can update your name online in the Aadhaar card through the self-service update portal. Follow the link to https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/ Do not forget to upload the scan of the original copy of your identity card. ”
You can make such changes in the name on Aadhaar through the self-service update portal :
- Change name spelling (if the pronunciation is one)
- Change in order
- Full Form from Short Form
- Changes in the name after marriage

Charges: You have to pay a fee of 50 rupees to take advantage of this service. Even if you update more than once, it will be considered the same update.
Note: It is important to take advantage of the online service to update the name in the Aadhaar card that your existing mobile number is linked with the base card or which is the link with the base card, it is still active.
