All Jio to non-Jio calls will be totally free and unlimited for all users, from January first.
Jio To Non-Jio Calls Will Free
Reliance has affirmed that all Jio to non-Jio will be currently free, and limitless, for all users.
From September, 2019 onwards, Jio had begun charging 6 paisa/min from their users, for all non-Jio calls.
In an assertion, Jio stated, “Jio stands firm on its obligation to make the normal Indian the recipient of cutting edge innovations like VoLTE. Jio is a customer-fixated association and thinks about each and every user. Every one of our users appreciate free voice calls with Jio,”
How Did This Happen?
Powerful January first, TRAI won’t execute IUC or Interconnect Usage Charges for homegrown calls.

IUC is charged when the user of a telecom administrator settles on a decision to another users from another telecom administrator. Subsequently, on the off chance that Jio user calls an Airtel organization, at that point Jio needs to pay an IUC of 6 paisa to Airtel.
Presently, since Jio is absolutely based on VoLTE organization, and Airtel/Vi/BSNL are based on GSM organization, Jio had chosen to exact this IUC charge on the customers.
Yet,now, it closes.
So essentially, it’s TRAI’s choice of annulling IUC, which empowered Jio to quit charging their customers.
Dependence stated, “Regarding its obligation to return off-net homegrown voice-call charges to zero, when IUC charges are abrogated, Jio will indeed make all off-net homegrown voice calls free, beginning first January 2021. On-net homegrown voice calls have consistently been free on the Jio organization,”
