Flipkart <\/a>has partnered with social media giant Meta and Ethereum Layer 2 scaling startups Polygon for the projects. They also said that the Metaverse projects could launch as soon as Diwali around October this years.<\/p>\n\n\n\nFlipverse is expected to implement a host of Web3.0 technologies to elevate the current users experience to include a virtual reality experience. The new offering will allow user to walk through the virtual mall & interact with the digital store front. Flipverse will reportedly host games, NFT, products launches, and other contests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This comes after a week of overt & covert mockery of the Metaverse platforms by a bevy of media reports and digital bloggers. Earlier this weeks, Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal also tweeted about Flipverse by Flipkart & said that it work with Polygon & eDAO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Flipkart has been experimenting with Web3.0 technologies for some time now. In April this year, the leading e-commerce company launched Flip kart Labs to mark its foray into the world of Web3.0 technologies. The project plans to leverage Flip kart in house capabilities to create technology based solution to redefine e-commerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company also introduced FireDrops earlier this year to explore NFT related use cases and bring Web3.0 to a broader audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Previously, Flip kart also launched a collection of NFTs called Nothing Community Dots, which was hosted on the Polygon blockchain. In a bid to popularize the use of non-fungible tokens, the e-commerce giant also recently announced that Nothing Phone 1 buyer in India would also be able to purchase the smartphone brand’s limited edition NFTs through the app. Flip kart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
