Life Insurance Corporation of India is an Indian state-owned insurance company owned by the Government of India.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday announced the sale of stake in LIC through IPO in the next financial year, citing the Budget 2020-21.

Market participants are in good spirits about the LIC IPO and said it could be the “IPO of the decade” in line with Saudi Arabia’s listing.
